Known in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota as the Chief Connections Officer™, Lonny Gulden has over twenty five years of sales, sales management and recruiting experience in high technology. Lonny’s expertise includes executive level selling to Fortune 1000 corporations, developing alternate channel sales models and advising corporations on information technology strategy and implementation. 

 

An expert in building businesses, Mr. Gulden has worked for several Minnesota and/or California technology start ups and emerging growth companies. In 1982, Mr Gulden co-founded High Technology Sales Associates (AKA HighTech), a Manufacturers’ Representative agency in the industrial electronics industry. Under Mr. Gulden’s leadership, HighTech’s revenues grew from nothing to over $7.5MM in less than two years. In 1985, Lonny joined GigaBit Logic, a newly formed gallium arsenide (GaAs) semiconductor manufacturer. During his tenure he was instrumental in generating over $6MM in annual sales from Cray Research, making it GigaBit Logic’s largest client and contibuting over 50% of the company’s total revenue. In 2007, Lonny launched his own firm, Deep Valley Consulting LLC, focused primarily on the recruiting of professionals in all aspect of technology.

 

In the early 1990’s, as a sales executive for defense electronics manufacturer Hughes Electronics (a unit of General Motors), Lonny was leveraging the power of the Internet prior to the birth of the World Wide Web. In 1995 Mr. Gulden joined NetStar, a publicly traded data communications manufacturer who pioneered high performance switching for Internet backbone networks (NetStar was purchased by Ascend Communications in 1996 and, subsequently, by Lucent Technologies in 1997). Ever the high achiever, Lonny was responsible for securing the first order for switches to be used in a production Internet backbone network from what today is known as SAVVIS Inc., a global leader in IT infrastructure services for business applications. An early adopter of Web 2.0, Lonny is now experimenting with ways to create and sustain online relationships to help businesses increase sales and expand their global presence.

 

Mr. Gulden holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Cloud State University and has been active in a variety of community and civic organizations. He is married, with three children, and resides in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
